Home improvment funds should be availible this week. This means the start of home improvments this weekend. Start with two exterior doors, move on to trim repair and painting, gutters, then it is a remodeling of the bathroom, then the kitchen, if time allows then paint the stucco. Roof next year, maybe.

The fun part will be getting new tools, a sabre saw, table saw, big ass ladder.

It will be nice to have more than one big ass ladder in the group. We should make sure our ladders are compatible then we can get the lay-a-board-across-two-ladders-and-pray-you-don't-fall things.

We have a big ass foldie ladder thing (ask conandammit - he's seen it and would know if it would work for you). We also have the 2X6 (or 8?) that fits in the top to make it walkable.

just in case you wanted an extra without purchasing one. :)

But thats for the offer.

Camping equipment is still offered. (When/where are you going? Are you interested in company or is this a "test yourselfs" sort of thing?)

The first longish weekend (4 days, Friday and Monday off) is June 25th through 28th. That is the longer of my weekends this summer.

Company vs. testing ourselves: Yes. Maybe. Potentially. All of the above?

I don't know. I personally like the thought of company, in a location that someone might know [good sites, nice natural areas, dangers and excitement possibilities at camp site, etc.]. It would still be a test, but an easier one (I'm all for Final Exams - but I like to take quizzes first!).

I don't know about the mpuzzle's perspective. He probably edges more on the "do it ourselves" side, but I am on the "go with experienced people and friends!" side - very.

I am like yoda talking today.

Just so's you know, I think this is what they're looking to use... Looks pretty cool and handy, but tough to get onto and not a place for the agoraphobic.

Ladder jacks would be a most welcome item. I think a third ladder may be required to make the actual climb though.

The most immediate help will be hauling the doors and ladder home.

After that, the bathtub.

Yeah, just send out a call when you could use a hand. I don't know much about home repair yet, but I make for good manual labor.

Also, my folks own a good sized pick-up (a Chevy Silverado I believe) which I may be able to put to use as well.
