Hollywood will soon unleash a torrent of suck when it attempts to release several anime titles as live action anime very soon.

Live action anime, it's an oxymoron. (No joking, it's a fucking oxymoron, read it again and tell me it ain't.)

Although there is hope.

CG assisted animation with old school Metal philosophy. High quality mecha with speed metal is a marriage made by the gods themselves. Chances are they will miss this and try to shove Chuck Norris in a giant robot.

Example, Macross Zero and Metallica. It's as metal as Mad Max.

It's also very encouraging to see the VF-1 Valkyrie design has not changed in 25 years. Only the quality of how it's presented.

Aside from "Comedically Sped Up," what the hell was that? (Yes, I actually watched a video. I know, right?)

Some of it looked like 80's cartoon footage, some of it looked like it came from a video game, some of it looked half-decent. What just happened??

My thoughts exactly... I feel like my eyes were just raped, but I'm not sure they didn't like it, just a little.

Macross Zero (2005?), it has yet to get over the ocean. Macross is what Robotech was based on.

I knew that, but what is the video? Is it a cobbled montage? Is it a scene from a TV show? Is it part of a trailer for a movie?

It sounds like you're talking about live action movies so the cartoons are confusing and I don't know what's going on...

Mmmmm, percocet...

Its clips from Macross Zero, a movie, copyright issues have kept it from coming to the states on a format with higher quality than YouTube. Macross in Japan (1985?) is what became Robotech in the states. They have kept Macross going over in Japan, where as the copyright holders of Robotech in the states have done a whole load of ass sitting.

I guess my point was / is why do live action when the CG assisted animation is this damn good? Why is there any possible need to put these stories into a new medium?

The hollywood whores are just looking any script they can shove Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise or Keanu Reaves into. They have made their sweep of the comic books, and are now set to bring their brand of suck to anime.

There are several good anime that Hollywood USA are eyeballing or in production for live action. Cowboy Bebop (with Keanu Reaves as Spike), Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Ninja Scroll and Robotech.

Word is, although the kids like it, Last Airbender was hacked up bad. Dragonball was fucked.
