mojocattI suppose that part about getting my conceal and carry permit in the previous post has changed, minutes after I posted it last night. We can now put "part is wanting the option to carry" in all bold (caps too if you like).

Parts of my response to my block clock and the Minneapolis Police crime prevention people, with some additions for my LJ entry are below.
The first I trouble I heard was the police cruisers driving like loonies at 2:00am. I was awake, windows open, I never heard a gunshot, must have been a .22 I suspect.
A shooting occurred in the alley between Aldrich and Bryant just South of 42nd (one house in, two houses in). The police were not telling me much or letting me close, so I tagged along with the reporters and made myself look important (you'll be surprised how far this can take you). The scene spokesman explained to the press there was a shooting, the man was taken to the hospital. There was also much confusion because of a situation hours earlier where a drunk man cut himself and left a blood trail. This blood trail from the earlier incident confused the K9's, and they were unable to track the shooter.
I've noticed early evening and late night Bryant ave. has been exceptionally active the past few weeks. I'm having some sleeping problems, so I'm up late night. I would speculate there is some sort of string of party houses on Bryant, as I see traffic up and down bryant. There have been 911 calls about drunks, arguments, loud music, I made one 911 call about a person cruising 42nd with a aluminum baseball bat, another about a lurker, now a shooting.
I can't count the number of 911 calls I've made it the past three weeks. 10? 15?

I'll Attach the WCCO report on the shooting.
(WCCO) A man is at North Memorial Hospital Friday morning after being shot overnight.
Police said someone tried to rob the man and his wife behind their home in Minneapolis.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on Bryant Avenue North.
The man was shot twice in the torso.
So far, police haven't got a good description of the shooter.
The condition of the man who was shot is not known.

There was also an gunfire incident on 08/11/2008.
*41st & BRYANT SUNDAY 2048 HOURS 08-255362 *
Dispatched to a SHOOT officers arrive and find a 26 year old black male w/30 CAPRS @ 4100 Fremont with a head wound and learned he was in a car when shot by a black male on the street. The vehicle occupants transported him to the house where collapsed after walking inside. Officers located the scene @ 41st & Bryant. NMMC reported victim will recover.

I think we have enough going on to be offically concerned about Bryant Ave.
MPD needs to apply a litle TLC.
I need my C&C permit.
My neigborhood has gone bonkers.
