I'd hate it to be the wrong person. After his racist rant in the street I'm not sure if I trust he will do the right thing, if it is the wrong person.
But if it turns out I can be reasonably convinced this person is one of the three I'm going to use our block club to put the screws to him via the DA. it would be nice to get word out on the street that people using guns in the area I live in really get the book thrown at them.
How does that work you ask? You file whats called a community impact statement, basically a letter to the DA. Now the DA can't use it to determine guilt or innocence, but he can read each of them during the sentencing if the suspect is found guilty. The statement would explain in detail how the criminal had a negative impact on the quality of life in your community. If the DA has twenty or thirty of those, it makes it very difficult for a judge to not give the full sentance allowed by law. The block club can generate dozens of these statements if asked, each from a individual address.
