Well I called in to Standard Heating to file my bitch-o-gram.

DD01 - $99.00 (service visit, ring the doorbell cost)
HGA13 - $168.00 (parts and labor)

The problem is with parts and labor. Labor was 15 minutes by LeAnn's estimate, and I can agree, as the part is held in place by a single sheet metal screw and plugs in. I looked up the part and found it runs $20 to $35 (the $35 includes overnight shipping, $20 without).

So if you subtract the part cost, the labor comes in at around $500 per hour.

The tech came to the exact same conclusion I did, the ignitor was cracked.

The gamma knife proceedure is a week away now, and I'm starting to drift away from work. It's difficult to focus on the task at hand when something so serious is kitty corner on the calendar.

I just want to crawl under a rock until the morning of the proceedure.

Thus begins the feeling sorry for myself phase, operation depresso-panic-anger-self doubt to start soon. Be sure to tune in as it's a comedy spectacular.
