I See Our Doom In That Stupid Expression
Apr. 14th, 2004 11:44 amOkay, I intended to post about this earlier, but LJ ate it.
Well, I caught the POTUS press conference last night. Even though
conandammit lied to me about the time of the press conference, he must be a republican attempting to throw me off the scent of lies. Not that I want to see or hear our moron POTUS, more of the fact taht a press conference is such a rare event as to be special. This is understandable, if your boss is a idiot, don't let people ask him too many questions.
Anywhos, not only was there a lack of any real new information, I think I lost information while listening to the press conference. As in I got dumber as opposed to smarter listening to POTUS.
Mostly straight forward type bullshit, with one exception. One reporter asked the question "What do you consider your greatest mistake, post 9/11?". POTUS was stumped, a gibbering idiot in front of the world. I could tell by his expression he had an answer right on the top of his head right away and dismissed it. Then he had a smart ass answer rolling around in that mellon, but dismissed it as well. He made a joke about reporters needing to write these questions down for him previous to the press conference, so he could be prepared (be prepared with a good lie I would reckon). He then responed that he could not think of any real mistakes since 9/11. But he was sure that historians would find some in the future.
I beg to differ with POTUS. Not only can I think of several mistakes, I would need a dot matrix printer with continous feed paper to list them.
But mostly I got this impression. A man who threw his hat in the ring for the republican nomination for POTUS for the hell of it. A father and chums who backed him up, not taking his chances very seriously, but backing him because that what family should do. A very surprised man (and family / chums) finding himself the republican canidate for POTUS in 2000, somehow by a stroke of luck beating out much better canidates. A weak democratic canidate, mindless voters and vote counting problems blows this leaf of a man into the white house.
Thats exactly what I watched last night. A man, certainly confused, probally scared, still asking himself three years later "how did I get here", "I never ment to actully win the white house, it was all folly."
I feel sorry for Laura...To have a husband that is such a limp dick excuse for a man....let alone a POTUS.
Bottom line....We need another road trip. This one with more drugs. Oh, and then vote this clown out of office this November.
