Well, I got exactly what I asked for. -24 degrees, car(s) won't start.

Both cars turn over like champs, but no combustion. So I came back in to call into work late. I could not get a hold of anyone. Went back out to the car with the booster pack, no luck. Came back in, made another phone call and got a hold of someone. Then Boffy fell down the stairs. I dropped the phone and rushed up the stairs to the first landing. I helped her get her newly buised ass back into bed.

And on top of it Rowan has Croup.

So now I am late, car won't start and I have two balling girls demanding breakfast.

All and all a wonderful morning. Not the cold day off I had planned.

Everything has now settled down a bit. I got a hold of my grandboss and I am taking the day off. Still -23 degrees and I have a heater under the car.

I might have to take Rowan to the doctor, so I still need to get it started....feh..

Now a balmy -18 below.

Got the Saturn started around 10:30am. A very rough start, it was not happy in the least.

I let it run for some time, then it was off to the races. Got a very sick and crabby toddler into the now warm car. Sped off to the urgent care, where they threw some health insurance red tape at me. Luckly I knew the urgent care system and grabbed my number first. My smile was quickly repalced by a frown and they seemed to notice my building anger. This sped up things.

Off to the doctor, doctor says she has an ear infection. Doctor wrote prescription.

Off to home to drop off sick toddler. Then off to Walgreens to fill the prescription.

On my way to Wallgreens I met a police car at a intersection, lights a siren going full blast. The light turned green, but I decided I shall wait for the police car first. The Police car pulled into the middle of the intersection and stopped, and sat there. Sitting in the middle of the intersection burning time on MY GREEN LIGHT. You fuck! What is going on? Was it some sort of doughnut emergency in the middle of this intersection? He finally whiped a right turn and headed North, and I got through the light just in time.

At Wallgreens I got Rowan her prescription and a little Hello Kitty doll.

Off to home, medicate toddler, stare at wall.

Rowan off to bed, cuddling her new Hello Kitty.

Damn, what a morning so far....

Rowan has been sooo sick today. Starting to turn around though. Pretty bad when a toddler wants to be in her crib.
