Gack! This sebaceous cyst on my mid spine is killing me! 3-7 on the pain scale depending on meds, ice and current action. I think it either burst or somehow became infected, and it sucks, or has been sucking for a week now. With hope the doc will cut it out tomorrow. As the doctor says "he will take a look at it". Bullshit! Its coming out.

I've had one at my tailbone before.. Pain is terrible. Take a real hot bath with epsom salt.. soak for as long as you can stand it. It will help with the pain, brings down swelling, Mine actually went away after doing that 2x a day for about 45 minutes for 3 days.. it finally just popped.

I hear lancing them is very painfull, but then it's gone.

I'd still keep your appointment, but try soaking a couple times today, it will feel better.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a whirl. I've been putting ice on it while at work to dull the pain and popping ibuprofin like candy.

I wish I would have lanced it two years ago. It was just a harmless bump up until last weekend.
