mojocattThings are better than expected here at work today. The big drama is under control, but near drama is close at hand. The corporate engineer I pissed off last year is here today, once he noticed me I received a short scowl and averted eyes. I promptly went over to shake his hand and greet him with a smile.
Kill em' with kindness. That's what Garrison Keillor says. I'll be damned if it does not work.
Speaking of GK, I'm missing my Saturday afternoon early evening ice fishing outings. Where I drill a hole in the ice, dip a line, sip a beer and listen to A Prairie Home Companion. I suppose I could listen at home, but it would not be the same. Maybe next year will be better.
A Daily Show seemed a little better last night. Reading behind the lines it looks like the staff is a little pissed about the strike because people other the the writers are loosing income over the matter. I'm not going to pick sides on the matter, it looks like both sides of the problem are being asshats about the issue.
But I better go do my thing.
