Well, that's that, winter makes its return today. Single digit temps, and swift wind in the face.

I missed every last minute of the State of the Union. I really am more interested in his replacement than anything he could possibly have to say at this point. It's been such a long and retarded ride; I have found myself counting the days. Of course even once he is gone we still have to contend with the idiots who voted for him, they don't go away so easily. Many will argue he stole elections, but the truth of the matter is the election results should never have been that close. That the Democrats twice could not come up with someone to whip a dolt like dubya is unforgivable. Christ, it should have been like quail hunting on one of those game ranches.

And even if you look to the new elections with hope, there is still the possibility we may replace an idiot with a moron.

Hard to believe it's been seven years. In seven years they have easily destroyed 15 years of prior progress, and we will be sorting the mess out for another 10.

On a happier note my sister is in town from New York. We hung out a little and got dinner at Papa's Pizza. It sure would be nice if they lived here instead of New York, but she probably will never leave New York, and I can't say I blame her. If New York had better ice fishing I might live there too.

But anyways, drop by her club the 124 Old Rabbit Club.

Having LeAnn home has been nice, but she really needs to resume physical therapy at a physical therapy center. She's slacking a bit and really needs to get more aggressive about exercise. I hoping we can get out this summer, but her condition really makes it more difficult to do anything.

We might make a trip to Itasca State park again this year. We would rent one of those accessible cabins instead of the fireplace rooms. She would not be able to go very far though and activities would be limited.

But hey, dubya's cutting me a check to go piss away.

Wow, it is nippy out. I bundled myself up to go out a plug the battery warmer in on the car a few minutes ago. I was wearing pac boots, coveralls, fur hat, gloves and wrapped my face in a scarf. It felt like I was walking on the moon out there.
