Jan. 25th, 2008 03:06 pmWow, it feels great out there today, a whopping 19 degrees above zero. Looks like this is the weekend to get out and do stuff, by Monday we might have rain.
You know what's cool looking? Coal fired blacksmithing, although I already have too many hobbies both active and on the shelf to think about such things. But metal working has always looked like something neat to do. I mean you've got fire, metal and hammers, what could be better for a man to do with his spare time? A guy could have a basic setup with a tire rim, AC blower, a chunk of rail for a anvil, tongs, bucket of water, bag of coal, some cheap iron and a hammer.
Maybe start looking more like Hagrid too.....

The no parking signs are still up in front of my house, the city told me two weeks, and that was 4 weeks ago. Turns out the cycling community got into an uproar an put a stop to the changes, and now there is a public hearing on the matter at city hall. This is cool with me, although it is yet another drain on my time. We should have been notified of a hearing before the bike lane ever went in. So the fight goes ever on.
LeAnn is doing okay, although any further progress is hard to measure. It seems she is a little stronger and more independent at times, such as being able to take a shower by herself standing up. I'm going to see what I can do this weekend to make modifications to assist in further independence.
