So there was the monthly meeting to review plant data and customer satisfaction. Good news all around, we are doing an excellent job, product defect costs are at record lows.

No, it's just depressing. Nothing like stellar performance with zero reward (for the 6,428th time in a row) to depress a guy. Oh, I'm sure there might be a $25 gift certificate to a chain restaurant or store somewhere down the road, ...ooh-rah. It's funny, the better things get, the more I want to leave, the more I want to snap on my boss.
