I'm begining to want for the days when all one needed to internets was a connection, computer and Netscape. Everything was HTML, everything was simple. Now you need codecs, java, flash players, firewalls, direct X, WEP, scripts, applets, privacy settings, virus protection, malware protection, toolbars you never asked for, and it all needs to be kept up to date with the latest version. Once you get a connection that's fast enough, they cram more shit into the internet to slow you down.
Sure it took two minutes to download that 76k image of the naked woman, but you could understand exactly what was going on in the magic naked people box.
