Mmmm, Fresh Monday
Jan. 26th, 2004 08:06 amI am quite pleased with how the division in the company I work in completely lost its F'ing mind over the weekend.
Something like 25 high priority "emergency" e-mails this morning. Now I admit there is a serious problem, but full blown chaos should be reserved for nuclear missles and such. Now don't get me wrong, full blown chaos is something to be savored. But I would hate to use up our chaos supply for issues that relate to anything less than megadeath or armageddon. I mean, you save the best for last, right?
The flip side of this is watching the people above you loose their shit. Those folks up in the corprate HQ that have on occasion looked down their nose at you condescendingly. Those in the HQ who are convinced their intellect must in fact tower above some yahoo from Minnesota. Not all of them, mind you, some are smart and nice, but not the majority.
Watching them unwrap into chaos, sweating bullets under the thumb of the division vice-president. Getting the rare glimpse of their true nature.
Well, off to deal with a fresh blanket of snow and unrestrained chaos. Maybe I'll just crawl into a corner and proceed to beat off and gibber? Might get me a few days off?
