Cold, part 2

Almost like winter out there today. Windswept dry snow, the kind that blows into your face and feels little pins. My recycling bin had blown accoss the alley sometime in the night. So there I was, light stocking hat light lether jacket, in a wind chill that was most certainly below zero. My warm bed, filled with cats and a wife was only a few feet away. Yet I retrieved the bin, climbed into my car. I briefly pondered what the hell was wrong with me, gripped a freezing steering wheel san gloves and drove off.
The pondering:
Option 1: Freezing car, wind driven snow, drive on ice covered roads to office. Spend the next 8 hours whoring myself out to the man for nothing more that decent health care and money. More than likely to meet with some sort of disaapointment during the day.
Option 2: Return into home, call in, crawl back into warm bed with cats and wife. Listen to Rowan's babbles as she wakes. Sleep til noon.
Driving, I swear I don't remember the drive in to work. I was too busy freezing and pondering why I am going with option 1.
Coffee has improved the situation somewhat, little warmer.
I will resolve to sew and wear kilts more often this spring and summer. Thats what I will do.
