So anyways last week was complete hell. Ended up working Saturday too.

But the problem has been fixed, and everything is going quite well now, here at work.

And as you can see by this post, even while working Saturday, my mood was improving.

So Sunday was to be my special day. [livejournal.com profile] boffy took Rowan to the Grandparents for the day and Boffy went to spend the day with a friend.

So I was left all by myself. So I slept till noon, took a hot bath and fixed myself some grub. A huge sub sandwich, chips and dip and bock beer. I grabbed [livejournal.com profile] caveman's DVD one of Cowboy Bebop, set the TV to max volume and proceeded to make a dent in the couch.

Took a break halfway through and put a chicken in a pot for chicken soup.

Then it was back to junk food, beer and CB at max volume.

About 4:00pm Boffy called. She had been in an accident. She was okay, but the right front fender was smashed. At least she was okay I told her. She told me it was leaking fluid, I asked what color it was, she said blue. Whew...only leaking washer fluid, that was good news. After we hung up, I proceeded to throw a tantrum over the event in private. After a few well place screams into the air, I recomposed myself. So I put the soup on simmer, turned off Cowboy Bebop and got bundled up. I drove to the scene, not more than two blocks from her dads house. There was the Saturn, buried into a huge snow bank at a four way uncontrolled intersection.

I got out of my car to find the family attpmting to pull the car out of the snow bank with some sort of string looped several times around the Saturn and a SUV. The father in law almost immediatly told me hop in the car so we could get it out of the snow bank. Well, I blew him off without a word and gave my wife a hug.
First things first you know. Next item to check was the tow connection, make sure they made the connection to the frame as opposed to the bumper. No need in ripping off the bumper as well. Next to check the engine compartment, the coolant resivour and engine mounts were intact.

We pulled the car out with minimal effort, but the "tow strings" broke. Next I checked the angle of the tire, the f*cking axle was slightly bent, but drivable.

We got the car back to the inlaws house, made the phone calls and proceeded to head home. I followed behind Boffy as she drove the Saturn. About halfway home I noticed at a stop light the defroster in my Neon was blowing cold air, I checked the settings. Cold air from the heater, rising heat on the thermometer.....

F*CK! My water pump on the Neon just went to hell! Gotta stay on move, this sucker is air cooled now. Everyone get out of my f*cking way! NOW!

So I broke off my pursuit task and cut through a parking lot to get around the stop light. I started taking side streets, avoiding ones with stop signs. Staying on the move, keeping cold air flowing to the engine. Everytime I slowed down or stopped I could hear the coolant boiling.

I pulled in right behind Boffy, and damn near went through my garage door. I killed the engine as fast as I could.

Next? Chicken soup.
